COVID-19 Information

Dear Parents and Carers,

Good morning, hope you are enjoying the last precious day of the holiday.

A reminder that school will re-open for all children on Wednesday 5th January.

I am receiving a few messages regarding positive cases already, particularly family members or close contacts over Christmas. At the moment there is no disruption for your children and we will continue with the restrictions and stringent guidance that we had in place last month. We will of course need to amend any plans or guidance in place if we have an outbreak in school (currently an outbreak remains as 4 cases within a class) or if we are advised to do so by the local authority or the government. It is clear at this point from all of the media information that the current situation is changeable and is going to impact on school in some way. It is vital that we continue to work together in the best interests of all and I remain resolute in trying to ensure all of our children are happy, safe and experience as normal a day as possible.

All staff will be testing today to ensure they are Covid free when returning. If possible, we would appreciate all children testing too. We would also appreciate parents and carers continuing to socially distance outside and around school when picking up and dropping off. Wearing masks also remains in place around the school site and in the school building and we respectfully remind parents of this.

I do understand that the return to school may be a worry for some families but please trust us to do all that we can to remain open and give our children the learning and social opportunities that they so desperately need after such a challenging and disruptive couple of years.

Thank you for your continued support

Mrs Sime
Head Teacher
